Contest
I don’t know about where you live, but here in Sudbury it’s raining, which reminds me that Fall is coming. It’s time to give away a CanSpec sweatshirt, hoodie, toque and wine kit!
If you remember way back when, I posted a picture of our collection of coffee cups that we decided to divert from landfill and began composting. Be the person to come closest to guessing how many cups you think we diverted from November 17th 2010 to May 5th 2011 and you’ll win the the sweatshirt, hoodie, toque and wine kit (includes wine opener, bottle stopper and neck protector – keeps the red wine from dripping down the bottle). We had about 19 people working in the office during that time.

Job Posting
CanSpec is looking to hire a Sales and Marketing Manager for a 6-month contract (starting August 29th) in Sudbury. As the Sales and Marketing Manager you will be responsible for all marketing initiatives, from idea to execution. Experience in developing advertising campaigns (print, radio, TV) and brochures, managing direct mail and website content, social media (blog, Facebook) and e-newsletters is required. In addition, you will conduct public presentations, sales calls to industry partners and be involved with relevant community groups. Your own transportation is required, with trips to Timmins, Sault Ste Marie, Thunder Bay and North Bay expected. Experience in professional services sales and marketing a must.

New Year, New Look
If you’re reading this, then you probably already noticed we have a new look!
The website has been streamlined and freshened up thanks to the good folks at Xray Sierra. Why bother you might ask? Well, a website is like anything else in your life that welcomes people. You want it to set the best impression and you want to make sure it stays current and interesting. Think of your living room, or the room in your house where you do the most entertaining. It’s welcoming, functional, nice to look at and comfortable. That’s how I like to think about websites. I hope you’ll enjoy ours and easily be able to find the information you need.

Tis the Season
CanSpec dropped a couple of trucks of food off at the Garson Food Bank today. ‘Tis the Season to remember how fortunate we are, and share that good fortune with others!
