Hi,
The maximum you can get for the main exterior walls is $1,875 and this depends on how much insulation (R-value) you are adding. You can see a list of the grants and the technical requirements here: http://www.oee.nrcan.gc.ca/residential/personal/pdf/ecoENERGY-grant-table-20110606b.pdf. The exterior insulation is listed on page seven. It does not matter what brand of insulation you buy, it’s all about the R-value. So if you insulate 100% of the area of your exterior walls and add over R-9 to those walls, you will receive $1,875. Please call our office at 1-877-672-3242 for full details.

Hi,
Please give us a call at 1-877-672-3242 and we will answer your question. But generally speaking, there is no ‘qualifying’ other than installing the proper windows – they must be ENERGY STAR qualified. The grants are not based on income or what you spend on renovations. To get the grants you must have a pre-renovation and post-renovation energy assessment completed. That’s what we do for you, in addition to all the paperwork. All you have to do is sign some forms, and renovate. You can do the work yourself or hire a contractor, that is up to you.
